The Savannah vision is of a resort style development exclusively for the over-50's. 

Despite these complexes being extremely common and sought after down south, this is such a unique concept for this region that many are unable to fully appreciate the scope of the dream. In light of the current global financial crisis, some visitors have voiced concerns about the long-term security of their investment should something untoward occur.  It would obviously be foolish (and criminal) for us to assert that this would never happen since no-one, other than Nostradamus, claims to predict the future and no development or investment is 100% safe.

However we are privately owned and two of the three directors and most of the directors are locals with a passion for this area and the resort in general.  Coupled with this is the fact that all our directors own successful companies outside of Savannah, from which they derive their income. 

Savannah Lifestyle Resorts was approved by our local council under "Retirement Village - ancillary uses" and the following paragraph in their decision notice should give comfort to the skeptic -

"In addition to the normal conditions ... there should be a condition that specifies the development will always be available only to over 50s"

Residents who purchase a home in Savannah are protected by:

1. The Manufactured Homes Act
2. A Queensland Building contract
   

Form 2 of the Manufactured Homes Act is the Site Agreement and is a legally binding document which cannot be adjusted in any way shape or form.  Therefore in the unlikely event that any changes were to occur in the future our residents are completely protected.  The Manufactured Homes Act was set up for this purpose – to protect the interests of the tenants.

Built on 20 acres the resort will boast 170 homes, 5-star amenity centre comprising club-house, heated lap and aerobics pool, spa, tennis court, gymnasium, 25-seat cinema, crafts room and workshop and various decks and entertainment areas, parks and free onsite storage for vans/mobile homes.  We will also include a section within the amenity centre complex for a community vegetable garden.

Due to the size of the undertaking we have split Savannah's construction into 4 stages, as outlined in the following Masterplan.  Currently we are in the first stage of construction, which will comprise of 54 homes, Sales and Administration, residents' pool and facilities and 5-star Amenity Centre.
