  • This cutie just enjoyed a feast of spiders. If you look closely, you can still see the spider web all over his little face 😂

  • The heartbeat of the range 💓

The Gillies Range Road is an experience to drive. You go up from sea level to 800m of elevation through 263 corners in 19km of road - just might want to take it slow if you have a tendency to get car sick – anyone got some good remedies for this (other than staying home ☺️ ) ?

  • 🐜Green-head Ant (Rhytidoponera metallica) near Lake Eacham.

These ants, also known as metallic pony ants, are endemic to Australia. They were described by British entomologist Frederick Smith in 1858 as members of the genus Rhytidoponera in the subfamily Ectatomminae and measure between 5mm - 7mm 🤓

  • Davies Creek from above – one of our favourite spots on the Atherton Tablelands .. you can even ⛺ camp there, just make sure to book your permit beforehand via QLD parks.

  • Wildlife on the Atherton Tablelands is abundant – Zillie Falls alone has 156 animal species, mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles (source: https://wetlandinfo.des.qld.gov.au/) Who else wouldn’t mind to unwind here and just enjoy the view for a moment or two?

  • 🦗 Cicadas might be small, but mighty – did you know that the Northern Greengrocer and his love ballad produces a noise intensity in excess of 120 dB at close range?
Woah.

  • The whole falls circuit is incredible but Millaa Millaa 😮 gives such a stunning natural pool under pillar-shaped volcanic rocks, and that’s really worth the ride 🚗
